Prices, tax and calculations
Understand price sources, net return, average cost and partial totals.
Price sources and markets
FutCall uses available public market data. A detailed Lowest BIN and global Market estimate may differ in meaning and timestamp. Check the label and freshness information. Console (PlayStation/Xbox) and PC remain separate; a missing PC price is not replaced by Console.
Timestamps and missing data
Source publication time and retrieval time are distinct. Refresh cannot make an old observation fresh. After a failure, previous data may remain with its original timestamp until it expires. Lots stay saved when usable prices are missing, but valuation becomes unknown and totals partial, not zero.
Sales tax
Calculations deduct 5% EA tax, rounded down to a whole coin for each card before quantities are added.
Tax per card = floor(unit sale price × 5 / 100)
Net per card = unit sale price − tax per card
Total net = net per card × quantity
Profit = total net − purchase cost of the relevant cards
Return (%) = profit / purchase cost × 100Worked example
| Five cards bought at 10,000 and sold at 12,000 | Amount |
|---|---|
| Purchase cost | 50,000 coins |
| Gross sale | 60,000 coins |
| Tax per card / total | 600 / 3,000 coins |
| Net proceeds | 57,000 coins |
| After-tax profit / return | 7,000 coins / 14% |
Before saving the sale, this is potential profit at an observed price; after recording the sale at that price it is realized.
Weighted purchase average
Total cost is the sum of each lot’s unit price multiplied by its quantity. Average price is remaining total cost divided by remaining quantity. Two cards at 10,000 and three at 12,000 cost 56,000: average 11,200. Partial sales consume oldest lots first (FIFO), which determines sale cost and the new remaining average. See Sales.
Break-even resale
Break-even price / Break-even sale is the minimum permitted FUT resale price that covers cost after tax. Dividing by 0.95 may need rounding to the next price increment. For a 10,000 purchase, the app calculates 10,750: 10,500 returns 9,975 net; 10,750 returns 10,213.
Resale price increments
| Price band | Increment |
|---|---|
| Below 1,000 | 50 |
| 1,000 to below 10,000 | 100 |
| 10,000 to below 50,000 | 250 |
| 50,000 to below 100,000 | 500 |
| 100,000 and above | 1,000 |
Sales and price alerts enforce these increments. Manually entered purchase cost has its own validation.
Capital, share and holding time
Invested capital concerns cards still held. Portfolio share compares a position’s cost with portfolio capital. Holding time is weighted by remaining lot capital, so larger purchases influence the average more. These indicators are not your in-game coin balance; they depend on saved operations and available prices.
